{ happy anniversary }

.: 7 years ago today I was in the Salt Lake Temple being sealed to the man I love for eternity :.

Curtis and I met in high school, it was his Senior year and my Junior year. We went on our first date to Boston Market and then went to the movies to see Mr. Bean. The theater was so crowded we couldn't find two seats together, so we grabbed some children's booster seats and sat in the back against the wall. I am a very shy person, but I felt such an immediate connection with Curtis. We just clicked together so well. So well that I kissed him that night! I loved that when I was with Curtis we could just be hanging out together, it didn't always have to be mushy girlfriend-boyfriend stuff. He was always sweet to me and to my family, which really impressed me. His patience with Elise! (love you Elise xxoo)

Our relationship was and is by no means perfect! I once had a friend tell me she wished she and her boyfriend had a perfect relationship like mine. I started to laugh! Our relationship has it's ups and downs and I hope that it always will, how boring a perfect relationship would be. How does one grow and develop a deeper love and respect for your partner if there is no disagreement or anger?

Curtis completes me and makes me strive to be a better person each day. He is a hard worker and does his best to provide for out little family. He loves everyone and looks for ways to do for others. He makes me laugh and knows me better than I do. I am grateful for him and his enduring love for me. I am grateful to have a worthy priesthood holder as my partner. I am grateful of his love for my family and for our daughter. He sacrifices for us and I am grateful for that too.

Curtis I love you forever, thank you for choosing me for this life and the next, and please, remember me at the veil!
